Intelligent Design and Control System of Automated Installations for Induction Heating of Products
The paper discusses the problems of digitalization of technologies for precision induction heating of billets made of non-ferrous metal alloys, such as titanium, zirconium, niobium, tantalum and some others. Induction heating has some features that need to be taken into account when developing such equipment and technology. At the first stage of the development of an induction installation for continuous heating of non-ferrous metal workpieces, it is necessary to develop a highly adequate digital double that will take into account low thermal conductivity and high temperature losses from the surface. These processes lead to the fact that the highest temperature is reached inside the workpiece, which cannot be measured using pyrometers. But at the same time, precision heating with a high degree of uniformity of the temperature field is essential for the heat treatment of non-magnetic metal alloys before plastic deformation.
