It categorizes incoming packets into multiple forwarding classes based on pre-defined rules. This categorization also enables quality of service or network security. In this work, we propose an algorithm, Segregated Cross-producting, to improve the scalability of cross-producting in term of storage. The performance of our scheme was evaluated with rule sets of varying sizes and characteristics.
