Design of an Architecture for Cloud Storage to Provide Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Cloud computing involves provision of computer resources as a service over the internet. This service can be provided to the customer on a leased basis, with the option to be scaled up or down based on the customer's requirements. Cloud Storage is a service, rendered to companies or users that allows data to be stored, maintained and accessed remotely. In this paper, a novel architecture to build an infrastructure of a secure and scalable cloud for a private organization is described. This architecture is designed using open source technologies and tools. This low-cost approach provides secure storage, upload and download of data, in a flexible mode at a reasonable price.
