Analysis of an eco-friendly sensor node powered by unconventional energy sources
In the recent years there is a prodigious research interest in harvesting energy for powering various equipment. With the explosive development of the IoT - Internet of Things concept or newer IoE - Internet of Everything, independent power supply issue becomes more and more challenging. The article describes the operation of a sensor node powered by harvesting energy from unconventional energy sources using a modern graphical diagrams platform. We chose to study an indoor harvesting system based on natural and fluorescent light source because this type of energy is the most commonly used, provides the highest density and is predictable. Since the sensor node ensures its energy independence based on light energy only, it will be referred further as the Eco-node.
