Smart charging of electric scooters for home to work and home to education transports from grid connected photovoltaic-systems
The operation of electric vehicles from renewable energy systems is an environmentally compatible technology. In general this method however has in practical applications today several significant limitations. In this paper a specific combination of electric vehicles with photovoltaic systems is considered. Electric scooters, which are mainly used for home to work or home to education transports, are operated from a grid connected photovoltaic system. For this application two strategies for a smart charging of the electric scooters are investigated. The results are showing that this application allows already today an operation of electric scooters against fuel scooters with no higher costs and with significant lower CO2-ejections.
