There are described legislative conditions and division of technical inspections station in the Slovak Republic. Another part of the paper analyses the regional distribution of technical inspection stations in the Slovak Republic. The paper is processed on the basis of long-term data analysis. Important part of this paper is also the analysis of traffic accidents caused by technical failure of a vehicle in the Slovak Republic.
