Practice teaching plays an irreplaceable role in the cultivation of big data talents. Taking the practical teaching of data science and big data technology in Chengdu University of Information Technology as the research object, research is also combined with the requirements of CDIO engineering education. From two aspects: the construction of a professional practice curriculum system and the reform of project-driven practical teaching model, we discuss the project-driven big data professional practical teaching. It is characterized by the design of reasonable engineering projects, decomposed by ‘modular’ according to the curriculum system.
