The oceans, that have a high salinity, are now the only nearly inexhaustible source of water supply.Separating salts from seawater, on the other hand, necessitates a huge amount of energy, that also, when derived from fossil fuels, can be destructive to the environment. As a result, desalination of seawater must be done using environmentally friendly energy sources.
