A survey using structured questionnaires was carried out with a total of 398 valuable responses collected. The proposed model was analysed using IBM SPSS v.24. The results reveal that perceived risk and security positively predict attitude towards the usage of mobile payment. This study highlights a possible issue in inhibiting the adoption of mobile payment systems among the elderly in Shandong, China from the theoretical lens of Technology acceptance model (TAM).
