This study aimed to examine the relationships between cognitive intelligence, emotional intelligence, and humor styles. The sample of the study consisted of 319 undergraduate students. The humor styles questionnaire, The Revised Schutte Emotional Intelligence, and Raven Standard Progressive Matrices Test Plus were used to obtain the data. The results indicated that emotional intelligence is positively correlated with adaptive humor styles. Cognitive intelligence had no statistically significant relationship with humor styles except affiliative humor style. Additionally, it was found that emotional intelligence predicted both affiliative and self-enhancing humor. The results were discussed in the light of the relationships between humor styles, emotional intelligence, and cognitive intelligence. © 2015 IOJES.
