Based on the proposed method, corresponding information technology has been developed, which makes it possible to determine the reliability of the operation of information and automated systems. The proposed method and approach were applied in practice to assess the reliability and fault tolerance of information system components according to various criteria. The levels of fault tolerance of each of the components of the information system were identified.
