It influences all aspects of modern commerce and industries through its capacities to enable applications that enhance speed, capacity and performance. It remains the engine that transforms nations into knowledge economies. Yet, it is not globally diffused. The technology creation is concentrated in developed nations, while many developing and emerging nations are net consumers of its products. Towards expanding the frontiers of this technology, it needs to be globally diffused and education is the best paradigm.
