To study the effect of existing HD digital display terminals on visual fatigue, we tested the display performance indices and recruited subjects for visual fatigue evaluation of 84 kinds of HD digital display terminals produced by 14 manufacturers on the market. The objective test results show that the blue light of the liquid crystal display television (LCD TV) is high, and the flicker of the light-emitting diode (LED) display is high too, which may lead to visual fatigue. The luminance of the tablet computer is low, which may also lead to visual fatigue. The contrast ratio of the LED display is high, which may lead to direct glare, and the specular reflectance of the tablet computer is high, which may lead to indirect glare, causing visual fatigue.
