An FPGA based X-band FMCW radar system will be built with digital Doppler processor and used for detection of target, localization, Doppler processing, velocity calculation and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)/Inverse SAR (ISAR) imaging etc. This radar is a ground based stationary ballistic radar, which transmits a sweep of frequency with a variable Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF). Return signals called as echo from the target is processed to find the information about their location and velocity. Discrete RF components will be used in the transmitter and receiver chains.
