We present an efficient lossless coding method for skin spectral data. In contrast to the conventional prefix-based coding methods, the proposed algorithm utilizes the unique property of the spectral data which changes monotonically with wavelength. The compression ratio of the proposed method alone is similar to those of the previous ones in average. However, when our method is hybridized with a conventional one, the compression ratio increases two times. This study provides a highly efficient way of data storing especially for continuous big bio-signal data measured from wearable devices.
