These custom power sources are safely manufactured and tested for operations in subsurface environments. Currently at DynaTech, Ltd. Inc., battery assembly and testing are done manually. An automated battery testing data acquisition system has been developed to enhance the manufacturing process. The battery data acquisition system utilizes PC-based hardware from National Instruments and software (LabVIEW) to perform automated measurements of an alkaline battery such as measuring open circuit voltage, load voltage and continuity.
