Integration of Industry 4.0 in the Metal Roofing Manufacturing Industry
The study explores how the increasingly industry 4.0 technology can be integrated into the Metal manufacturing sector to increase production output so that the adequate capacity of a plant is achieved. The design methodology approach used in designing and gathering information is qualitative and has been divided into three critical stages; the first stage is using second-hand information that is already present in the organisation’s books; this gave me a clear depiction of how to structure my methodology. The second stage includes a framework to evaluate and analyse data and sort it so the information can follow a chronological order. The final stage confirms the choice of methodology by collecting extensive qualitative data through observation and semi-formal interviews with factory operators, managers, and researchers. The study's findings clearly depict a strong correlation between optimising 4.0 technologies and reaching production targets within the relevant range. The results show a positive influence on how the 4.0 technologies have an impact on employee satisfaction and improving the organisation’s sustainability by ensuring that proper training seminars are held on a monthly basis with the staff members so they can keep up with new 4.0 technological advancements.
