Comic as Literacy Media

This article describes traditional literary works created for literacy media. As a variety of traditional prose, kaba has a distinctiveness compared to other traditional Minangkabau literary works. Besides it's unique, kaba fully loaded with Minangkabau contents. The transformation was expected to be used as literacy media and bring traditional literature closer to the younger generation. Besides literacy activities have not been maximized, the provision of suitable reading materials is still a problem that affects the level of understanding and criticality of the reader.
