Factors Affecting an Organisation's Decision to Adopt Cloud Services in Saudi Arabia
The adoption of cloud technology in Saudi Arabia is still in its early stages and shifting the current set-up to the cloud is not a simple task. This study aims to investigate the factors that might affect a Saudi Arabian organisation's decision to employ cloud services. In this paper we propose an integrated model that identifies the key factors that might impact on an enterprise's intention to adopt cloud technology. In order to assess the proposed model for cloud adoption, quantitative research methods were used in this study. The results of the survey reveal that only 16 factors affect cloud computing adoption. These factors are: availability, reliability, security, privacy, trust, relative advantage, compatibility, trial ability, top management support, organisation size, technological readiness, compliance with regulations, physical location, external support, industry, and culture.
