This study uses a qualitative research design under the characteristics of a case study. Data were obtained through interviews conducted by researchers with 4 participants at level 3 of the English Education Study Program who takes elective courses in translation classes at one of the private universities in West Java. The findings reveal that Google Translate is an online translation tool that really helps students in learning. However, the results of the Google Translate translation should not be taken for granted because they need to be improved again. Lecturers do not recommend the use of Google Translate in translation classes because of the negative impact that can make students lazy to develop their abilities and the translation results are considered  inaccurate. 摘要

本研究旨在了解本科生在翻译课上使用谷歌翻译的学习体验。本研究采用定性研究设计下的个案研究特点。研究人员对4名参加英语教育学习计划三级课程的参与者进行了访谈,这些参与者在西爪哇的一所私立大学选修翻译课程。研究结果表明,谷歌翻译是一个真正帮助学生学习的在线翻译工具。然而,谷歌翻译的翻译结果不应被视为理所当然,因为它们需要再次改进。讲师不建议在翻译课上使用谷歌Translate,因为它会产生负面影响,使学生懒得发展自己的能力,并且翻译结果被认为是不准确的。基于这些研究结果,建议教师在使用谷歌翻译作为学习辅助工具方面进行创新,学生应限制使用谷歌翻译,不要感到依赖。关键词:谷歌翻译;学习经验;翻译
