Neurological manifestations of COVID-19 assume great importance because of considerable mortality and morbidity both during the disease and recovery. The following review aims to shed light on impact of COVID -19 on neurological system. Common neurological manifestations have been described. With more people surviving the disease, post-COVID syndrome has become a prominent ailment. A note is also made of the impact introduction of vaccines for COVID-19. Finally, the epidemic of ―black fungus‖ or Mucormycosis has also been touched upon. Neurological manifestations: The most important neurological manifestations are stroke, encephalitis, encephalopathy and myelitis on the central nervous system and Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) and chronic muscle fatigues on the peripheral nervous system. Impact of second wave of COVID: The second wave of COVID has been particularly tragic for India because of the rapid spread which pressurized the health system and resources. With a record number of patients infected in this wave, patients with neurological symptoms have also increased. We must also be prepared for patients with Post-COVID Neurological Syndrome (PCNS).
