Some developed and developing countries such as Indonesia believe that mastering Chinese, the national language of China, will help the Indonesian state understand Chinese norms, culture and policies that will help them interact with the bamboo curtain country, which is closely related to economic relations between Indonesia and China. The formulation of the problems discussed in this study are (1) Has Chinese language learning in Indonesia been implemented well?; (2) Has the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Education and Culture issued a policy regarding making Chinese a foreign language that is mandatory for Indonesian students to learn?; (3) What is the government's strategy in producing Chinese language teaching staff in Indonesia? 摘要
