IoT based Conceptual Framework for Monitoring Poultry Farms
Poultry farming is one of the largest industries in Malaysia and is very significant to the Malaysian economy. One of the reasons for the rapid development of chicken farming in Malaysia is that chicken is the second most preferred meat option among Malaysians and is acceptable to Malaysia's multi-ethnic population. Therefore, the poultry industry needs to be consistently profitable to stay appropriate. However, the challenge the poultry industry faces is the inefficient use of technology resources to monitor chickens, which are sensitive to temperature, humidity, and ammonia in the chicken farm. The villagers raise chickens conventionally on chicken farms. Consequently, in this era where smart devices are mostly usable and accessible to people of all backgrounds, this study has taken advantage of modern technologies to innovate poultry farms. This study proposes and builds a conceptual framework for a chicken farm monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. This system can help poultry farmers monitor the farm remotely through their website.
