The aim of the present study is to investigate the feasibility of guidance of the polished film on the collector of the starter-generator by reducing the pressure on the current-carrying brushes, and to measure the resistance of the polished film, the brush wear and the collector. The characteristics of the starter-generator are studied at various pressures on current carrying brushes. The acceptance checkouts are carried out. The use of reduced pressure springs made it possible to accelerate the process of forming the polished film by 1.5 times. The resource of current-carrying brushes and the collector increases.
