In order to comprehensively analyze the research and development status of data mining in the field of education, this paper takes the relevant research papers in THE CNKI database from 2010 to 2020 as the data source, and applies the method of scientometrics to carry out the research from three dimensions: author, key words, region and institution. The research shows that learning analysis, data mining and big data have always been the research hotspots in the field of education, and the research scale and maturity are gradually increasing. At the same time, the research of educational data mining and learning analysis has a tendency to focus on practical application instead of theory. In addition, this paper also analyzes the algorithms in the research paper, and introduces the practical application of the algorithms in the field of education.
