Melacak Pemikiran Gerakan Salafi dan Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) serta Perang Pemikiran Keduanya di Yogyakarta
Islam as a big religion experiences a long dynamic thus in its journey, it is split into several groups of thought. Of the many Islamic thought movements that exist, one of them is Salafi and HTI revivalism movements. Both are influenced by the revivalism of the Islamic movement in the Middle East which is growing rapidly in Indonesia (before HTI was banned by the Indonesian government in 2017). This research attempts to trace the thoughts of these two movements and trace how these two movements were able to develop, especially in Yogyakarta. The author used a qualitative descriptive in this research and using in-depth interviews and literature studies to obtain data. In general, this study shows that the Salafi dakwah movement is more a-political in character whereas HTI's is very political. This difference comes from a form of interpretation in viewing the dakwah of the Prophet Muhammad. No doubt the difference between the two continues to become a war of thought. The expansion of these two Islamic movements in Indonesia in general and Yogyakarta in particular cannot be separated from the campus dakwah method which is considered effective because students have high curiosity and are more open to something new.
