Desvelando Diálogos Entre Educação Financeira e Educação Matemática Crítica: uma Pesquisa Envolvendo Dissertações de Mestrados Profissionais

ResumoEste texto deriva de uma pesquisa de Mestrado defendida em 2020, na área da Educação Matemática. O foco do estudo foi a Educação Financeira, tema que tem rendido importantes discussões, dentro e fora do cenário acadêmico. O objetivo principal consistiu em analisar dissertações que apresentavam a Educação Financeira como temática principal e investigar possíveis diálogos entre passagens dos textos dos estudos com o campo teórico da Educação Matemática Crítica (EMC). Selecionamos dissertações de três programas de mestrado profissional de três universidades mineiras. Assim sendo, nossa pesquisa pode ser considerada como bibliográfica. Ao longo da análise das pesquisas selecionadas, as conexões/diálogos entre a Educação Financeira e EMC não estavam, fundamentalmente, explícitas/explícitos nos textos das dissertações. Foi necessário, portanto, um olhar atento do pesquisador para os dados, guiado pelos seus conhecimentos teóricos acerca da EMC, que permitiu estabelecer conexões coerentes entre o que estava apresentado nos textos e os construtos desse campo teórico. Os resultados evidenciam conexões entre a Educação Financeira e a Educação Matemática Crítica, em particular, com os conceitos de Cenários para Investigação, empowerment, backgrounds e foregrounds. Por fim, o texto alerta para a necessidade de novas pesquisas que explorem lacunas nas conexões entre Educação Financeira e a Educação Matemática Crítica. Palavras-chave: Educação Matemática. AbstractThis text derives from a Master's research defended in 2020, in the area of Mathematical Education and with a focus on Financial Education. The main objective was to analyze dissertations that presented Financial Education as the main theme and to investigate possible dialogues between passages of the text of the studies with the theoretical field of Critical Mathematical Education (CME). We selected dissertations from three professional master's programs in Minas Gerais. Therefore, our research can be considered as bibliographic. Throughout the analysis of the selected researches, the connections / dialogues between Financial Education and CME were not, fundamentally, explicit / explicit in the texts of the dissertations. Therefore, it was necessary to have a careful look from the researcher to the data, guided by his theoretical knowledge about CME, which allowed to establish coherent connections between what was presented in the texts and the constructs of this theoretical field. The results show connections between Financial Education and Critical Mathematical Education, in particular, with the concepts of Scenarios for Research, empowerment, backgrounds and foregrounds. Finally, the text warns of the need for new research to explore gaps in the connections between Financial Education and Critical Mathematical Education. Keywords: Mathematical Education.
