EFFICIENCY OF EDUCATION, ESPECIALLY HIGHER ECONOMIC EDUCATION

Abel Aganbegyan analyzes quality and effectiveness of higher economic education in Russia, as well as Russia’s place in terms of education among other countries of the world and the share of the “knowledge economy” in the gross product of the country. The scientific and educational complex of Russia as a whole is not inferior to many developed countries, nevertheless, there is a need to reform education, including increasing its practical orientation, the availability of professional requirements and degrees necessary to occupy important positions, including in the civil service. This will increase its efficiency, move to socio-economic growth.
