The method uses the scattering of fingerprint residues to make latent fingerprints visible. It could be used in situations where contact less and fast work is required, e.g. when searching for fingerprints on improvised explosive devices (IED). Also, this method can be used in one practical device that is appropriate for the work at crime scenes where mobile systems are needed. The designed embedded system runs on a low cost Raspberry Pi. Furthermore, it displays results on a touch-screen which makes it very user friendly.
