Based on the panel data, this paper establishes a linear regression model (selecting the data of universities from 51 states in the United States from 2009–2020) and analyzes the relationship between graduation rate and education investment policy, faculty level, student cost and so on. The conclusion is that the ratio of students to federal financial aid, state education funding and full-time instructional staff/student amount are negative to the graduation rate. Meanwhile, the state average tuition fee has a positive effect on student graduation rate. 摘要

本科毕业率具有衡量高等教育质量的重要内涵,在美国大学教学质量的评价和考核中发挥着重要作用。基于面板数据,本文建立线性回归模型(选取美国51个州2009-2020年的大学数据),分析毕业率与教育投资政策、师资水平、学生成本等因素的关系。结论是,学生与联邦财政援助、州教育资金和全职教学人员/学生数量的比例对毕业率是负的。同时,州平均学费对学生毕业率有积极影响。本文创新性地将面板数据分析引入到毕业率研究中,对高等教育数据进行定量研究具有现实意义。
