However, how to calculate the value of PV hosting capacity with the improved reverse power protection has not been discussed. This paper presents a method about how to assess the PV hosting capacity in a spot network with the improved re-verse power protection. Considering the output current characteristics of a PV inverter under external fault, a composite sequence network under types of short circuit fault is analyzed. The relationship between the setting value of protection and the access current of PV is deduced. By studying the critical condition of protection failure, a method of assessing PV hosting capacity to avoid protection misoperation is proposed. The simulation model based on practical engineering by PSCAD is established. And simulation results verify the correctness of this assessment method. 摘要
