Scientific journals are main carrier of scientific knowledge, and the mutual citations between scientific journals depict the paths and directions of knowledge spillovers. This paper selects six Chinese scientific journals (three Chinese-language journals and three English-language ones) from three disciplines in Web of Science as samples, constructs journal citation networks respectively with JCR database, and compares network topology parameters and evolution process of these journals from 2005 to 2009. We establish a measurement model of knowledge spillovers by defining network topology parameters as substitutional variables to measure the impact of language barriers on knowledge spillovers. 摘要
语言障碍对知识外溢过程有负面影响。科技期刊是科学知识的主要载体,科技期刊之间的相互引用描述了知识溢出的路径和方向。本文选取Web of Science中3个学科的6种中文科技期刊(3种中文期刊和3种英文期刊)为样本,分别利用JCR数据库构建期刊引文网络,比较了这些期刊2005 - 2009年的网络拓扑参数和演变过程。本文通过定义网络拓扑参数作为替代变量,建立了知识溢出度量模型,以度量语言障碍对知识溢出的影响。最后,本文就如何克服语言障碍对中国科技期刊的负面影响提出了建议。
