Academic staff from three chartered private universities with representative sample size of 287 were involved in the study. Binary logit model was employed to analyse the study objectives, followed by the qualitative content analyses.\n\nFindings –– Remuneration and job security for staff are the most significant factors for academic staff switching intention. Also, the leadership style discouraged some academic staff to leave. Males have showed greater propensity to switch as compared to females. \n\nConclusion & Recommendation –– Management of private universities should promote staff welfare to avoid switching intentions of academic staff. 摘要
