It is used as a powerful marketing tool. However, there have been a few discussions about the e-commerce strategies, particularly at the outset in the design phase. Therefore, this paper presents strategies and factors which have to be considered at the beginning of developing an e-commerce system. This study synthesized previous works and suggested strategies responding to the User Experience design (UX design). The UX design was recommended to be a great tool to achieve success in system design. It was proposed that culture characteristics, online community of practice and content marketing strategy have to be planned with keeping UX design in mind to gain competitive advantages for e-commerce system.
