Method: The research design selected for study was descriptive research design. The study was conducted in GIMS hospital, Uttar Pradesh. Total sample comprises of 40 staff Nurses. The instrument to generate the necessary data was checklist for assessing the knowledge of Staff Nurses regarding hand washing practices in COVID-19 ward. Results: out of 42 nurses who were working in COVID-19 ward, 24 (57.14%) were doing good practice and 18 (42.85%) having adequate practice of hand washing and none of them had poor practice for hand washing.
