The course and results of his scientific expedition to the Trans-Danube lands (1830), during which he collected, copied from the originals, and also explained the Vlachian-Bulgarian (Dacian-Slavic) letters (letters of the Danube Slavs) belonging to monasteries or private individuals, are recreated in details.
