As far as under developed countries are concerned, it is practically impossible for physicians to check the cardiovascular status of all children of school age. With this intention, a phonocardiogram (PCG) set up along with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based MATLAB program for automatic diagnosis of cardiac status, i.e. either normal or abnormal, has been developed and tested with the project group members themselves and results are disseminated.
