A properly designed equalizer can overcome the effects of inter-symbol interference which deters the communication process in noisy and bandlimited channels. In this paper a functional link ANN (FLANN) based equalizer has been discussed. The equalizer structure has been created using a filterbank sign regressor FLANN approach. The performance of this equalizer has been compared with the conventional FIR filter based and general FLANN based equalizers.
