Development of a Virtual Device for the Noises Localization of Large-Size Units in the Arctic
Russia considers the development of the Arctic to be one of its top priorities. The attention of many countries of the world is aimed at this region since the Arctic is very rich in various hydrocarbons. The development of this region is impossible without the construction of multiple structures, such as ships, tankers, oil platforms, etc. During the installation of large blocks for the Arctic, much attention is paid to reducing the noise level generated by the mechanisms. This is because noise creates unfavorable conditions for people to work. The total background noise generated by a significant device consists of a set of noise from individual units. Noise localization in small groups is carried out on test benches. The problem arises when localizing the noise of large blocks that cannot be placed on a test bench. This study is dedicated to solving the problem of localization of the noise source. The authors analyzed the problem in terms of mathematical methods and proposed a gradient descent method. Test measurements did not refute the possibility of localizing the sound source by the proposed method.
