Strategic cooperations and supply chain performance: case study in Aviation Industrial Organization
One of the solutions to improve aviation industry's performance is forming cooperation with their competitors. Recent researches imply that if this cooperation follows activities it will lead to the creation of a new construct: 'cooperation'. Carrying out this phenomenon in internal mechanisms of manufacturers leads to higher supply chain performance for them. In the present study we aimed to propose and test a comprehensive model for cooperation. We reviewed recent proposed models in relation to cooperation to propose a new model through this study. Our conceptual model consists of cooperation as the main exogenous construct, supply chain performance as the chief endogenous variable and three mediator constructs: degree of integration, success of cooperation and corporate strategy. Structural equation modelling using partial least squares is applied to comprehensively test the research conceptual model. Our findings indicate the significant impacts of cooperation on supply chain performance mediated through the three paths specified.
