Differential Evolution (DE) has been chosen for suitable sizing and sitting of FACTS devices. IEEE 30 bus system has been considered as test system. Total voltage deviation has been observed to be decreased from 0.6471 p.u to 0.4561 p.u for STATCOM device with 90%increased load.
