As planning disassembly systems is based on product and process data, of course, it is obvious that data from the early stages of the product life phase can contribute to design disassembly systems that are adapted to certain product characteristics and specific process parameters. Especially nowadays, with recycling quotas prescribed in new legislation (e.g. Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) product data gain in importance to ensure complying with recycling quotas.
