The system consists of an optical reader and a miniaturized interferometric pressure sensor integrated onto a standard intraocular lens. The results show that the measurement sensitivity of the sensor is on the order of 22 nm/mmHg with an accuracy of ±0.5 mmHg post implantation. The optical method developed is a promising approach for monitoring intraocular pressure for glaucoma patients.
