The Law of Time Distribution in Modeling the Activity of the Automated Control System Operator
The existing models for ensuring the activities of the operator of the automated control system or its individual elements use simplified data on the time spent on performing elementary actions. Various laws of time distribution for performing elementary actions are investigated to select an adequate one in modeling the activities of automated control system operators. To estimate the average execution time of several elementary actions, the sum of the values of each elementary operation was used. Hypotheses about the laws of distribution of time for solving problems by the operator are put forward and tested: truncated normal distribution, gamma distribution, beta distribution, logarithmically normal distribution. The agreement of the empirical and theoretical distributions is checked, histograms and distribution densities of the decision time by the operator are shown. The empirical distributions are in good agreement with the theoretical ones, and the estimate of the probability of their coincidence with the empirical ones is approximately the same. The proposed empirical approach to modeling the operator's activity retains a sufficient level of detailing of certain aspects of his activity while maintaining a holistic picture.
