Green spaces directly and indirectly improve the physical and mental health, mental balance and well-being of the population; therefore, it is key factor of the city's livea-bilty, population retention and economic competitiveness. As a result of several years of planning and coordination process, in March 2021, the Municipality of Budapest approved the Dezső Radó Plan, the first gap-filling green space development and maintenance strategy of Budapest approved by the municipality.
