Evaluation and simulation of the leakage current in industrial applications
A reference model to evaluate the leakage current is proposed. This model provides a replicable reference system to evaluate the contribution of every single component to the leakage current. The reference system reduces the paths for the leakage current since there is only one connection to the ground. The reference system is developed in parallel to a simulation environment which allows a model of every single component through lumped elements and to simulate the leakage current in the system. The system set-up provides comparable leakage current measurements in different locations. A lumped element model provides an accurate simulation of the leakage current in the system. The model and the simulations are developed up to 150 kHz.
