Baban","doi":"10.1109/RAMS.2002.981644","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, the reliability assurance of the cold plastic deformation tools used in the car industry was performed by reliability modeling, inspection planning and renewal policies. At the beginning of the paper, a data acquisition system for the measurement of the tools failure was developed. Using the experimental information obtained by the data acquisition system, the global reliability analysis of the equipment was performed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit test. After the reliability modeling, the inspection planning and renewal policies were achieved. The acquisition and the processing of the experimental data, the global reliability modeling, the inspection planning and the renewal policy were performed by an integrated software system developed by the authors. This integrated software system was used for the reliability modeling of a combined stamping die used in the car industry. In conclusion, the reliability modeling of the cold plastic deformation tools used in the car industry allows the estimation of the reliability measures of these tools.
