Política de formação continuada para gestores da rede pública municipal de ensino de Teresina-PI

It is believed that in order to carry out good administration, continuing education is necessary, as it enables professionals to update their knowledge. Therefore, the choice of the theme of this research: Continuing Education Policy for Managers of the Municipal Public Network of Teresina-Piauí, aiming to analyze the policy of continuing education for managers of the municipal public network. The study was carried out through bibliographic and field research based on Ferreira (1997), Libâneo (2000), Saviani (1982), Polato (2009). In the field research, questionnaires were applied with the two managers of the Angelim and Clodoaldo Freitas schools. Data analysis showed that managers are aware of the importance of continuing education so that they can acquire more knowledge and thereby improve their actions within the school. In this way, continuing education significantly contributes to the development of professional knowledge of managers, whose objective, among others, is to facilitate reflective capacities on their own practice, raising it to a collective and participatory conscience.
