Analysis of Movements of Body Trunk in Japanese Traditional Dance

Until now it has been explicit of the use of the limbs and head in Japanese traditional dance. In contrast, the usage of the "body trunk" has remained implicitly. And this circumstances is same in the research field. We set the aim of this research to clarify the Structure of the movements observed in the body trunk area by using the motion-capturing system, analyzing the difference between the expert and beginners. As a result, we see the different use of the body trunk between experts and beginners. Extremely advanced usage of ribs to improve performance were characterized by experts.
