Interdiskursive und intertextuelle Verflechtungen in Navid Kermanis Zwischen Koran und Kafka. West-östliche Erkundungen

The aim of this article is to analyze the mutual relation between literature and its cultural context in general and the impact of specific cultural discourses on perceiving literature within one’s own context as well as that produced within other cultures. For this purpose, the article examines the deconstructive method used by Navid Kermani in his collection of essays entitled »Zwischen Koran und Kaf ka. West-östliche Erkundungen« (2014). Through his deconstructive analysis he provides dif ferent literary interpretations that take into account other cultural contexts.
